According to the Governors website on FAQ for the SAFE Act, the Glock 36 is “not an assault weapon.” However, Section 265.00, sub-section 22, part C, clause IV listed above would thereby make it illegal to own such a handgun being that the standard magazine protrudes from the pistol grip. Many other models of smaller handguns are also listed where otherwise legal magazines protrude from the pistol grip to allow the magazine to act as a pinky grip. So do we follow the law, or the Governor’s website?

I really don’t have a problem with this. If it can be done on line it would be helpful, with advance notice as we do with a drivers license. I’m sure the State will charge a large fee as they usually do.
