I will be on WTBQ 9:10 AM to 10 AM on Monday 1/28/13

I am going to be on Frank Fornario, Jr. radio show on WTBQ on Monday, 1/28/2013 from about 9:10 am to 10 am.  You can direct stream the audio.  Please call in if you want to but we are going to keep the phone calls very short.

Some of the things we will try to cover.

  • NRA is governed by a board of directors elected by NRA members, usually numbering about 75. The board is responsible for selecting the president, who acts as the organization’s spokesperson, from among their members. The directors appoint an executive vice president, currently Wayne LaPierre, Jr., who functions as the chief executive officer. Chris W. Cox holds the position of executive director of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action, and Kayne Robinson is the executive director of NRA General Operations.  SEE NRA HISTORY   Only 71 percent were nominated, endorsed, or selected by the NRA’s Nominating Committee, Mother Jones.
  • Polls using “NRA members” are not accurate.  The NRA does not release members list. Many people say they are a member of the NRA when they are not.
  • Event the Times Herald-Record said that the way the law was passed was wrong.
  • We all have a right to self-defense.  It is immoral to tell people that they can not defend themselves or that they lack the ability and will never be able to defend themselves.  When seconds count, police are only minutes away.
  • I would rather have rounds left at the end of a confrontation rather than run out during a confrontation.
  • Sheriff’s departments don’t like the gun related portions of the law. http://www.nysheriffs.org/
  • Mental health: http://centralny.ynn.com/content/top_stories/632172/does-ny-safe-act-do-more-harm-than-good-for-mental-health-/ “It may be a little misdirected. It’s probably going to do more harm than good,” … “If you have someone who’s already very suspicious of the mental health care system and maybe a bit paranoid or a bit angry towards society, these are the people who you most want to get into treatment, who you most want to get help, those people are probably going to be put off by this law and be actually less likely to see a mental health professionally,”
  • In an interview Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Kelly said he supported an assault weapon ban, but that in New York City, “the problem is the handgun,” so you know what is coming next.  More cost, fees and regulations on handguns like they have in NY City.  SEE NY POST ARTICLE
  • AW Ban:  The failed Canadian long gun registration system, originally estimated to be $2 million, is reported to be $66.4 million for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. The program lasted from 1995 to 2012 when it was ended.  It was estimated that 65% of gun owners did not register their gun/s. As of June 2012, the Canadian Firearms Program recorded a total of 1,889,650 valid firearms licenses, which is roughly 5.5% of the Canadian population.  At 5.5%, we would have 1.076 million gun owners in NY.
  • Almost all semi-auto handguns sold in the last 30 years have magazines in violation of the new law. The The Browning Hi-Power,a single-action, 9 mm semi-automatic handgun with a 13-round magazine capacity was introduced in 1935.   Glock 1982
  • These are all the same gun.  They are all Ruger 10/22 rifles.

NY State is BROKE and in the red.  Is NY State going to waste billions of dollars  on registrations of legally owned guns, background checks for tens or hundreds of millions of rounds of ammo, arrest and prosecutions for tens of thousands of legal NY gun owners?

What we will do:  WE WILL NOT REGISTER

Just like in the Civil Rights movement, many will and must defy the law at the risk of arrest and imprisonment.  NY has shown how unlimited, anti-gun progressive government can take away your rights in the dead of the night, without debate.  They call us extremist but they are the ones who are extreme.  They are the ones who are changing the laws and placing limits on our rights that we have never had without justification.  Gun control laws have never worked and only those who have some unrealistic idea of some imaginary utopian society  would ever support such bans.
