The Orange County Federation will have a bus for free for people from Orange County.  Sign up now.  Preference will be for people who are members of clubs that belong to the Federation but we expect to have some room for other Pro-gun people who want to go.

        c.. Very important -- a local issue that your delegation can take to a legislator

      Keynote Speaker
     At this time we have invited Assemblyman Richard Brodsky to be our keynote speaker. Other speakers invited include Assemblymen Patrick Manning and Richard Smith; as well as Senators Owen Johnson and Carl Marcellino.

      Suggested Dress Code
     Please look like professionals, dress neatly but comfortably. Please do not wear offensive or camouflage clothing. Remember you are representing the sportsmen and women of NYS and your local area.

      Behavior
     Remember we will be watched, by members of the legislature, their staff and others in state government that day, please conduct yourself as ladies and gentlemen while on the March.

      Buttons
     This year again we have the March on Albany buttons. They are available for $1 each. Buy some for those attending and buy one for your legislator(s). These are currently available for sale through the NYSCC Office and will be at the March as well.

      Transportation
     Parking can be a problem at times in the State Capital area. It is recommended that individual car pool. Some federations even rent a bus to bring their people to the March. Others will meet at the Best Western on Western Avenue in Albany and car pool to the Capitol.
 

     VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOLLOWS!!!!!!!

      DO NOT! DO NOT! Assume that your legislator will be in his or her office on that day. Speeches should be completed by 9:45 AM, PLEASE contact your legislator and make an appointment to meet. If you do not know their Albany numbers you can locate it on the sheets accompanying this notice. If you do not know who your representative is, please contact the NYSCC Office. Each legislator will be receiving a postcard asking them to save the date for the Annual Sportsmen's March on Albany.

      Information Questions
     If you have questions and need more information before March 18th please contact the NYSCC Office at 315/894-3302 or by e-mail nyscc@nyscc.com.

      We will be preparing and when possible sending along information packets on each of the topics for the March to assist you. Therefore it is important that you notify us if you plan to attend.

      An information table the day of the March will be maintained in the Hamilton Hearing Room B to assist you. Everyone is encouraged to gather on March 21st in that room prior to the start of the speakers. We will have buttons, listing of legislators and their room numbers. In addition we will be preparing a press packet and a special packet for each legislator that explains who we are, what we do and just lists a few points on the issues that you will be addressing with them.

      Please take the time to be a part of the action. We need you, we need to show the legislators and media that sportsmen and women make a difference and have a message to tell.

      Let's truly wake up the "sleeping giant" and show our numbers in Albany this year.
