  NJ Temorarily blocked Large Capacity Magazine Owners to become instant CRIMINALS

ORANGE COUNTY NEWS

2001 totals from Orange County Pistol Applications and Amendments.

The totals for new pistol applications and amendments from 2001 are in and they show a increase from 2000. 
  1999  2000 2001 CHANGE % increase 00-01
New Applications 326 374 508 134 +1.36
Amendments 1624 1763 1920 157 +1.09

This is a small increase but it is still not in line with the number of new people who are moving into Orange County. The numbers still fall far short of the numbers of pistol applications that were being issued just a few years ago. This is the best year in and it only equalls the numbers from 1994.

UPDATE: Why the increase? Lots of NY City Cops that have decided to retire and they live in Orange County. 2002 should set a record of new licenses of this type, 2000 and 2001 did.

NEW YORK STATE NEWS

STATE WIDE ALERT, ALBANY IS OPEN AND SET FOR BUSINNESS
INCLUDING TAKING AWAY MORE OF YOUR RIGHTS.

Law makers came back into session and some plan to help and some plan to hurt and some do not know anything about what they are trying to regulate. One NY lawman wants to ban some type of 30-06 ammo but does not know what kind. The normal list of other bills will be voted on or not as usuall every year.

NJ Temorarily blocked Large Capacity Magazine Owners to become instant CRIMINALS 

     The State Police have proposed new Administrative Code Regulations which will turn 1000's of unsuspecting law abiding BLOCKED LARGE CAPACITY MAGAZINE OWNERS into instant CRIMINALS.

     The new Regulations reverse the prior position of the State Police which allowed the possession and sale of Temporarily Blocked LCM's.

     1000's of Temporarily Blocked LCM's have been sold by licensed NJ dealers to honest gun owners in reliance upon the prior written statements from the State Police. Note: A violation of the LCM Ban is a Crime of the 4th Degree (18 months Max. State Prison)
