A cornerstone of shooting in Orange County was lost on 4/6/11 with the passing of Dennis Serpi.
Dennis ran Master Class Shooting Supply in Monroe, NY. On his bad day he was a better shooter than most people and was always willing to help new shooters and old shooters who knew much less than he did. Dennis first opened a store and I was Member #2, dated 4/17/03, when Dennis opened up the range. Dennis was a great help to me as he was to many people. Dennis passed away after a short illness.

Plate match at Master Class
The Plate setup. Nice of Dennis to put the Star and the other small
plates all the way in the back.
Dennis works the clock
Alice was keeping the scores.
CENTERFIRE ACTION PLATE MATCH
The first row was 5 round plates with
The second row was 6 plates,
two rectangle and 4 pins
The last row was 2 rows of 3
each with the front row having that dang star.
The third row was one popper and 4 small
sick mind did it again. You started with gun loaded with 6 rounds on
the bench and 6 rounds each at the other 3 stations. Buzzer goes off,
you grab gun, shoot till empty, run to next station, load, shoot, run,
Some of the shooters did complain that
they were unfairly slowed down by all of the food that they stuffed
themself's with including the cakes and other sweet things that we should
not eat but taste too good to pass up.
Pin match at Master Class
These are pictures from a past pin match
was blowing the horn
Pin heads for 22 Cal.
The women were shooting too!
All of the pins set up.
You shoot them,
you reset them
It was standing
No matter how bad you shoot,
you can always score at the food table.
At another Plate Match at Master Class, Dennis raised
every ones's blood pressure by putting the 4" square
plates in the back and low. (See red arrow.)
When we say you can shoot anything we mean anything and one person did
quite well by shooting three brace of Six Shooters.
