HELP KEEP A CRIMINAL IN JAIL!
On 8/3/00 Ronald Cummings and Donald Louis Carrington drove to the house of Alex and Pat Bodnar in Blooming Grove, Orange County, NY.  High on cocaine and alcohol the plan was for Cummings to break into the house while Carrington stayed outside in the getaway car.  Cummings broke into the house and attempted to rape Alex's wife after he stabbed Alex Bodnar.  Alex was able to make it to the bathroom to get his loaded, revolver, (without a trigger lock,) and was able to kill Cummings in a fight that also took the life of Alex Bodnar.  Donald Louis Carrington fled but was caught and is in jail but is up for PAROLE!  Our wonderful justice system let him get off with BURGLARY 1ST, a class B felony. She needs this returned by 12/11/00!!

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS NEWSLETTER???
Due to some illness in the family, a new computer, vacations and the holidays I am not going to put too much in the newsletter this month.  It has been a hard time with the elections and now we have Senator H-----y.  How stupid are some of the people in this state.  Gun owners took a big hit in some of the national races but we have a new Pres. and it is Bush.  What  is the line about watch out what you wish for, you might get it.  While I expect many of the lawsuits to be dropped and the 2nd amendment to be respected some I still expect some new gun control laws to pass in the next year unless the Democrats decide to shut down the House and Senate.  No matter what gets passed the anti-gunners will still say, "It is a good first step ... we need to do more ... it is for the children."

WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN IN 2001?
Please take a few moments to e-mail me with what you think we can expect next year.  I will choose a few to add to the newsletter.

    Hunter harassment in Orange County?
I have gotten some reports that hunters were being harrased by the State Police and local police and some Forest Range especially around the Stewart Buffer lands.  Cars were being pulled over and drivers were being asked if their cars could be inspected.  If something happend to you can you e-mail me about it.
DECOM has been going to the butcher shops and inspecting tags on deer.  If you forgot to sign the back of the tag they will give you a ticket.  It is up to you to make sure that the tag is filled out, not the butcher.

    Madonna takes up shooting
She dressed as a country toff for a £70-an-hour shotgun lesson just outside London on Friday.  The 41-year-old star was wearing green wellies, tight trousers and a tweed jacket with leather patches to protect her shoulders. Her instructor at West London Shooting Scool in Notholt, Middlesex, said: “She’s learning to shoot clay pigeons. She’s very well co-ordinated and will be a very accomplished shot. "Her lessons consist of the safety aspect, gun handling and the correct stance. "It's the same for every pupil, famous or not. "But she's very nice." Madonna’s bridegroom, Lock Stock film director Guy Ritchie, turned up for a lesson yesterday. One onlooker said: "Madonna looked quite the English toff. She's obviously fallen in love with country life."
